Where:

New Castle: South 25th at the Transit (Bus) Station.
                   Parking lot between Race St. & Central Ave.

Greensboro:  Beside new Fire Dept. building.  

Kennard: Kennard Elementary School parking lot.

Knightstown:   ATTENTION: Due to misuse, the site at 775 West has been closed permanently. We are working with officials to find another site for Knightstown residents.

Mt. Summit:  Back of Mt. Summit Park.

Middletown: Behind Municipal building on Locust Street.

Mooreland: Behind grocery store at corner of Mills & Cory St.

New Lisbon: Beside Fire Dept./Post Office at Wilbur Wright Rd and 500 South.

Spiceland: Broad Street & 325 West.

Springport:  Lot across from Post Office on Main St.

Straughn: 40 East/Post Office parking lot.

Sulphur Springs: Behind Post Office on Meridian Street.

 

What:

Only #1 and #2 and #3 plastics, glass, aluminum, steel and metal cans, paper and cardboard.

*Latex paint, if not useable, can be disposed of in your normal trash IF you add cat litter or saw dust to the contents and allow to dry out for approximately 72 hrs.

*We accept CFL’s and Fluorescent Bulbs at the district office.  We also accept household batteries (A, AA, AAA, C, D and 9 volt batteries) at the district office and in the Customer Service area of Walmart in New Castle.

Items we CAN NOT accept:

Trash/rubbish, light bulbs, window panes, mirrors, ceramics, motor oil containers, anti-freeze containers, carpet, heat sensitive fax paper, napkins, paper towels, Kleenex, toilet paper, paper plates, cardboard w/food debris, building materials.

Please be respectful of the sites and what is accepted and not accepted. 
This ensures that the sites will be available for future generations.
